Effects

• Spellblade (unique): After using an ability, your next basic attack within 10 seconds deals 125% base AD (+ 0 to 50 based on critical strike chance) bonus physical damage on-hit and restores mana equal to50% of that amount(1.5 second cooldown, starts after using the empowered attack).³

Arena changes

• Ability haste changed to 20.
• Attack damage changed to 50.
• Essence Drain mana restoration changed to 15% bonus AD.
• Removed: No longer restores a flat mana amount.⁴

• AD assassins without a critical-strike augment can use Essence Reaver alongside Voltaic Cyclosword.⁵
• Caster ADCs can use Essence Reaver when mana is not an issue.⁶
• For Smolder, one suggested build is Essence Reaver, Endless Hunger, Infinity Edge, Lord Dominik's Regards or Mortal Reminder, C44 or Rapid Firecannon, and Guardian Angel.⁷

• An Item Anvil can grant Essence Reaver while Dusk and Dawn is already owned, even though both items are in the Spellblade group; whether this also happens without a Guest is unclear.⁸
