Trueshot Prodigy: LoL Arena Augment

Trueshot Prodigy is a prismatic augment in League of Legends Arena.

Overview

Upon damaging an enemy while located at over cr 700 units away at the time of the hit, cast Trueshot Barrage in their direction. The barrage deals 175 to 525 (+ 100% bonus AD) (+ 70% AP) magic damage to enemies it passes through. This augment has cooldown on each target.²

Tips

Against Trueshot Prodigy, prioritize mobility or engage options to get close to its user; without them, it can be difficult to play against.⁵
Pair Trueshot Prodigy with a burn item; burn damage can trigger it, including after a plant hit. With Zyra, it remains a good choice, though its impact is lower before the first item.⁶⁷
Long-range, short-cooldown abilities work well with Trueshot Prodigy, preferably with a burn; Ezreal is one example.⁸

Interactions

Damage fully absorbed by a shield does not trigger Trueshot Prodigy.⁹
Heimerdinger's turrets do not seem to trigger Trueshot Prodigy anymore, but they can trigger it by applying Liandry's.¹⁰
Zyra's plants no longer trigger Trueshot Prodigy on their own; a burn effect such as Liandry's can trigger it after a plant hit.⁹⁷

Bugs

Trueshot Prodigy sometimes fails to trigger despite its per-target cooldown.¹¹
Trueshot Prodigy sometimes fails to apply to abilities; Zyra is one champion on which this can happen.¹²¹³

History

Since patch 26.21, its base damage is 175 / 275 / 375, its bonus attack damage ratio is 50%, and its cooldown is 12 / 10 / 8 seconds per target.³
Since patch 26.15, Trueshot Prodigy no longer triggers off its own missile.¹⁴
An earlier version had an autocast with about a one-second cooldown; the autocast was later removed. The timing of this change is unknown.¹⁵ Patch unknown
