Effects

• Covering Fire (unique): Every 10 seconds, Autocast fires a bolt towards a nearby target, dealing 50 to 100 physical damage and applying on-hit effects.
• Energized (unique): Moving and basic attacking generates Energize stacks, up to 100.
• Unload (unique): Your energized attacks trigger your Autocast effects.⁴

• For a Jinx poke build, take Hexbolt Companion as the first prismatic item, then Voltaic; max W first and focus on augments that benefit poke.⁶
• A Hexbolt and Magic Missile Kai'Sa build can use tank items to stay alive while getting in range.⁷
• Hexbolt Companion can be useful with Runecarver or Fulmination and a meaningful Autocast augment, especially for a hybrid or attack damage champion.⁸
• A support build such as Xin Zhao with an on-hit carry can be decent.⁹
• For an Energized build, avoid Demon's Dance because basic attacks do not generate Energized stacks with it.¹⁰

• Energized attacks trigger Autocast effects, and some Autocast effects that count as abilities can trigger Runecarver. Together, these effects can create a repeating Autocast loop.^11121314
• Hexbolt Companion reduces Divine Intervention's cooldown by 2 seconds when triggered.¹⁵
• Lightning Rod and Hexbolt Companion can make Divine Intervention's bomb timer reset and add another bomb; repeated attacks can keep resetting the timer so the bombs do not explode.¹⁶
